There is a significant historic photograph record of the
North Star House created by A.D. Foote and later by his
son A.B. Foote. Both were avid photographers and over their life times
developed a large body of photographic work in which they documented all aspects
of life in the gold mining regions of California. These photographs were taken
between about 1905 and into the 1950's.
Some of the Foote family photos of the North Star House (digitally
scanned and enhanced by North Star Foundation) follow in somewhat of a
chronological order.
