This talk examines the challenges of integrating women into the broader national narrative, what the Progressive Movement was, and how Mary Hallock Foote and Julia Morgan fit within this important time period for women.

About the Speaker
Mary-Jo Wainwright holds a BA in History from UC Berkeley and an MA in Public History from California State University, East Bay. She has taught United States and California history at Imperial Valley College and San Diego State University, served as Director of Education at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco, and currently works as a historical consultant for Peralta Hacienda Historical Park in Oakland.
