On July 11, the North Star House grounds filled with families, friends, creativity, and a little bit of magic for our 2026 Midsummer Festival, presented in collaboration with the Nevada County Magicians Guild.

Guests spent the evening exploring the property and enjoying activities throughout the grounds. There was face painting, arts and crafts, bubbles, a scavenger hunt, local vendors, and plenty of magic along the way. In the Heritage Garden, our garden fairies added a whimsical touch for visitors wandering among the flowers.
The Nevada County Magicians Guild helped make the evening especially memorable, bringing magic and entertainment to the festival and creating fun moments for guests of all ages.

More than anything, Midsummer was a chance for the community to come together and enjoy North Star House in a playful, relaxed way. It was wonderful to see children exploring the grounds, families spending time together, and both familiar and new faces experiencing the property.

A big thank you to the Nevada County Magicians Guild, our vendors, volunteers, artists, garden fairies, and everyone who helped make the festival possible. And thank you to everyone who joined us for a magical summer evening at North Star House. We loved having you here.
