An Evening of Music in Support of North Star House Interiors

North Star House interiors were at the heart of a special fundraiser concert hosted by Rebekah Freeman, lead of the North Star House Interiors Committee. The evening brought together friends, supporters, and community members for music, connection, and support of the ongoing work to restore, furnish, and care for the historic rooms of the House.

Rebekah shared her talent with an audience gathered to enjoy an evening of music while also supporting the Interiors Restoration and Furnishing efforts. The fundraiser was a wonderful success, raising nearly $1,000 to help continue the work taking place throughout the interior spaces of North Star House.

Supporting the North Star House Interiors Through Music

The performance also featured the talents of Eric Howe, Rebekah’s vocal coach and pianist for the evening, along with Nancy McRay, whose duets with Eric added something special to the program. George Husaruk joined on flute, and Janet Rossman sang alongside Rebekah for several songs, bringing even more warmth and energy to the evening.

The concert was a meaningful example of the many ways community members contribute to the preservation of North Star House. Restoration is not limited to construction work alone. It also includes the careful process of furnishing rooms, researching appropriate pieces, maintaining historic spaces, and helping visitors experience the House as a welcoming and thoughtfully cared-for place.

Rebekah has played an important role in that work through the Interiors Committee. You can learn more about her approach to restoring and furnishing the interiors of North Star House and the care that goes into selecting furnishings, artwork, textiles, and decorative details for the historic rooms.

Her work is also part of the larger effort to restore and preserve North Star House, ensuring that the property continues to be cared for while remaining an active place for the community.
