Fall is one of the best times to add something new to the garden, and this October, a local plant sale is giving the community an opportunity to shop for fall favorites while supporting the North Star House.
Dozer Dog Farms Country Nursery will host its Fall Plant Sale on October 9 and 10 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 11755 Coyote Court in Nevada City, just off Willow Valley Road. The nursery is a registered Nevada City nursery at that address.
Shop for Fall Perennials at the Plant Sale in Nevada City
The sale will feature a variety of perennials and landscape plants, including:
Hydrangeas
Butterfly bush
Japanese maple
Hibiscus
And more seasonal selections
For local gardeners, the timing is especially good. UC Master Gardeners of Nevada County notes that fall is an ideal time to establish many perennials because cooler conditions give roots an opportunity to develop before winter.
Supporting the North Star House Garden
What makes this sale particularly special to us is that 25% of proceeds will be donated to the North Star House Gardens.
Our gardens and grounds are cared for with the help of dedicated volunteers who spend their time maintaining planting areas, pathways, and the landscape surrounding the historic house. Garden and landscape work continues to be an important part of caring for the property and keeping it welcoming for visitors.
