Honoring Howard & Peggy Levine

The City of Grass Valley recently awarded the first Citizen Star Award in 15 years to Howard and the late Peggy Levine: two remarkable individuals whose vision and dedication helped shape Nevada County.

Here at the North Star House, we are especially grateful for their lasting impact. Howard and Peggy were instrumental to our mission, lending their time, expertise, and passion to help begin the transformation of this historic home - moving it from years of disrepair toward once again serving as a place for the community.

Their influence is woven into the cultural and civic fabric of our community, and we’re honored to share these moments celebrating their well-deserved recognition.
