On June 3rd 2025, the North Star House restoration volunteers took a well-deserved break from the usual buzz of tools and construction to enjoy something a little different: burgers, sunshine, and the simple joy of good company.

The crew gathered for a casual barbecue, a tradition that's quickly becoming a favorite way to unwind and connect beyond the job site. Mike Frasu flipped burgers to perfection, Rebekah Freeman helped bring it all together, and the team shared stories, laughter, and a reminder of why this work matters.
Restoring the North Star House takes dedication, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose — but it also builds real friendships. This impromptu afternoon was less about celebration and more about camaraderie: a crew of people who show up for the house and for each other.
